Your Delicate Expressions Vinyl Comes in three layers:
- Top Layer = Transfer Tape – This is the slightly transparent masking tape like layer that is placed over the top of the decorative lettering.
- Middle Layer = Decorative Lettering – This is the actual lettering that will remain on the wall when installation is complete.
- Bottom Layer = Backing Paper – This is the thick paper that the decorative letters are positioned on.
1. Clean surface:
Wash the surface with soap and water or a mild cleaning solution.
2. Position Your Lettering:
Using a level or ruler, determine the exact place you will lay your
vinyl lettering (you can make a small mark with a pencil, this will
erase with soapy water). Position your lettering to the upper edge of
the marks. Tape the upper corners of the vinyl lettering to keep it in
position. Rub over the lettering with a credit card, library card, hand,
etc.
3. Remove the Backing Paper (Bottom Layer):
Flip up the whole quote (the tape should still hold it in place) and
slowly peel of backing. Make sure all the lettering adheres to
the transfer tape. If it is not adhering lay the lettering back down and
rub again with your credit card, library card, hand, etc. Once
removed, flip the transfer tape back down onto your surface.
4. Rub the Vinyl Letters/Graphics:
Rub over the vinyl lettering or graphics to securely adhere them to
your surface. It is best to work from the center to the outside edge on both
sides.
5. Remove the Transfer Paper (Top Layer):
Carefully peel off the transfer paper to reveal your vinyl
lettering or graphics.
After installation is complete, you will discard the transfer tape and backing paper. They are used for installation purposes only.
